Asian Lantern Festival at the Central Florida Zoo
What is the Asian Lantern Festival?
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will transform at night into the Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild!
There were over 30 different, hand-constructed illuminated lantern displays around the Zoo on a 3/4 mile path. Food and beverages were available for purchase throughout the walking trail.
The event was for all ages, and had some interactive displays for the kids!
Can you walk through the Asian Lantern Festival?
On Walk-Through nights, guests may enter at any time after the start of the event and stay on grounds until 10:30pm. Drive-Through nights have timed entries between these operating hours for which guests must reserve a specific entry time.
When we went we arrived at 6:30 pm for the 7 pm walk through, and I would suggest going for the 8 pm walk through. There were huge crowds which made traffic about 30 minutes to get through, and to walk all the way up to the front took another 10 - 15 minutes for 7 pm.
For 8 pm, almost all were done with the walk through and about half of the cars were gone.
If you’re looking to avoid huge crowds than usual and find an easier parking spot, would highly suggest 8 pm!
Select nights November 18, 2022 through January 15, 2023, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
